Meet Dr. Jonathan Laurent, DDS

Dr. Laurent, who is known to his patients as Dr. L, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, his journey into dentistry began at a young age after a childhood accident left him with a chipped front tooth. Watching his dentist restore it so easily made a lasting impression and sparked his desire to pursue a career in dentistry.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University at Albany, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C.

Dr. L spent five years living in Harlem, New York City, where he completed both general practice and pediatric dental residencies at BronxCare Health System. During this time, he served as chief resident in both programs, an experience that helped shape his clinical philosophy and reinforced his passion for preventive care and patient education.

He has since been practicing in Connecticut, continuing his focus on thoughtful, high-quality dental care.

With a broad educational background and diverse clinical experience, Dr. L offers a comprehensive and compassionate approach to dentistry. He is deeply committed to lifelong learning and to creating positive, comfortable experiences for his patients and their families. His dedication to excellence and patient-centered care has earned him the trust of those he serves.

Dr. L is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

Outside of the office, Dr. L values balance and exploration. He and his wife enjoy traveling together, immersing themselves in new cultures, and discovering local cuisine. They often make it a point to join a food tour in every country they visit.
